Google finally makes the visual search and identity of video creators measurable

No strong enough official announcement has emerged in recent years 24 hours. This edition therefore retains two Google updates of the 24 september, still immediately useful to measure visual visibility and better structure video content.

Our method: distinguishing facts, citing sources and calmly explaining what can really change for creators, independent and digital professionals.

Search Console now measures visibility from visual searches

Google adds a multi-modal search filter in Search Console performance reports, including in the report on the general d的IA functions. It includes queries from Google Lens, Circle to Search, imported images in Google Search and Chrome's image search command. The deployment has been global since September 24, but metrics only appear for sites actually receiving this type of traffic.

What it can change: Check the new multimodal filter in Search Console and export this data. If your activity depends on visuals, compare the pages and images that attract this traffic to improve original photos, editorial context, captions and consistency between image and content.

Google documents the creator property in the VideoObject markup

Google added the creator property to its VideoObject structured data documentation, while maintaining author support. The update also specifies the types of interactions accepted in Statistics interaction. This is an evolution of documentation and marking, not the automatic promise of a new display enriched in the results.

What it can change: On the pages that host your videos, explicitly inform creator or author with a coherent entity and check statistic interaction according to the types now documented. Then validate the JSON-LD with Google tools without waiting for a guaranteed ranking gain.
