Practical guide · free to read

Buying clicks is only the start. Build a campaign whose economics can work.

Useful advertising connects a specific need, a credible offer and a simple action. This hub helps you prepare that journey, measure its real contribution and fix mistakes before increasing spend.

For creators, freelancers, coaches, consultants and small businesses launching a first campaign or repairing one that spends without clear results.

The journey to build
  1. NeedA person to help
  2. AdA verifiable promise
  3. PageA consistent answer
  4. ActionMeasurable success
  5. ContributionEconomics that work

Shared foundations

Profitability, budget, measurement and review before choosing a channel.

The six advertising systems

Choose my platform

The method shared by all six systems

Start with the person’s problem, before the promote button. What situation do they want to improve? What does your offer actually deliver? What evidence can you show? A campaign cannot repair an unclear offer.

1. A verifiable offer

State the deliverable, price, conditions and audience. “45-minute sales page audit, written feedback included” is more useful than “Take your creator business to the next level”.

2. Realistic economics

Calculate your contribution before advertising, target acquisition cost and a test budget you can afford to lose. Spend tests a hypothesis; it does not automatically produce profit.

3. A consistent journey

The ad, landing page and action should describe the same offer. On mobile, visitors should quickly understand who it is for, what they receive and how to continue.

4. Track the final outcome

A submitted form is not a customer. Connect inquiries to attended appointments, collected sales and refunds. Keep an overall view of your creator business too.

Choose the channel for the situation

The comparison below is an editorial starting point, not a performance promise. Validate potential with customers, platform forecasting tools and a measurable test. Small budgets benefit from one coherent channel instead of six underfunded tests.

Meta Ads

Introduce an offer through a demonstration, an authorized testimonial or a familiar situation. Prepare distinct creative angles.

Google Ads

Respond to expressed search demand. Separate buying intent from definitions, job searches and free tutorials.

OpenAI Ads

Be useful during exploration or comparison in ChatGPT. Context hints are not exact-match keywords; document your offer clearly.

TikTok Ads

Show use in a video made for the feed. Attention should lead to the right offer, beyond watching to the end.

LinkedIn Ads

Offer specific professional value to a role or company type. Qualification and sales follow-up matter as much as form completion.

Microsoft Ads

Test additional search demand. Recheck measurement, networks, queries and budget: a Google import is not a launch-ready campaign.

After the click: a page that delivers on the promise

Put the offer and primary action first, then real evidence, deliverable details, conditions and answers to objections. Avoid heavy video that blocks reading, endless forms and homepages where visitors must hunt for the offer. Test the full journey on your phone, including payment or confirmation.

With VIFLY, direct visitors to an offer, content or booking as appropriate. A LinkHub guides an audience between destinations; a campaign focused on one offer should use its specific destination and a primary action. Check measurement capabilities and module conditions before launch: VIFLY does not replace the advertising manager.

Dashboard terms in plain language

CPC

Cost per click: media spend ÷ clicks. This price does not say how many clicks become customers.

CPM

Cost per thousand impressions: spend ÷ impressions × 1,000. An impression is neither a visit nor a sale.

Conversion

An action defined as an outcome: purchase, signup or inquiry. Always verify its exact definition before comparing campaigns.

Attribution

A rule linking an outcome to an advertising interaction within a defined window. Alone, it does not prove the sale would not otherwise have occurred.

The launch plan

The launch plan

  1. Write the brief

One person, need, offer, proof, action and spending limit. If you have several offers, choose one for the first test.

  2. Calculate the threshold

Read the profitability chapter before choosing spend. Separate revenue, contribution, CPA and fully loaded acquisition cost.

  3. Prepare the destination

Keep the ad promise, one primary action and clear confirmation. Check mobile, speed and essential information.

  4. Test measurement

Test consent, final event, value, currency and duplicates. A page view must not count as a sale.

  5. Launch a readable test

Set the observation period, conversion lag and stop criteria. Change one hypothesis at a time.

  6. Decide using sales

Compare results with thresholds and business records. Increase spend only when economics and delivery capacity allow it.

Avoid

See mistakes before paying for them

Fictional examples. Corrections illustrate a method without guaranteeing an outcome.

A promise that attracts the wrong people

Avoid

“€10,000 in 30 days, effortlessly. Click now!”

Why it blocks progress

Unsupported guaranteed earnings create impossible expectations and risk ad rejection. Clicks do not validate the claim.

Build instead

“Prepare your first coaching offer: a 90-minute workshop with a page template and exercises. View the syllabus.”

What it changes

A specific learning outcome, tangible deliverable and action that lets visitors inspect the offer.

A click sent into a maze

Avoid

Ad: “Book your audit.” Destination: a homepage with 12 offers and no visible booking slots.

Why it blocks progress

Visitors must repeat the search work. Each detour creates another opportunity to abandon.

Build instead

Ad and page: the same audit, stated price and duration; a “Choose a time” button for that service.

What it changes

The click leads directly to the expected action, with enough information to decide.

A pretty dashboard hiding a loss

Avoid

“ROAS 3: triple the budget.” Without checking margins, returns or fees.

Why it blocks progress

ROAS compares revenue with media spend. It does not directly measure profit.

Build instead

Compare contribution after refunds with media, creative, tooling and management costs. Then check capacity to serve more customers.

What it changes

A decision grounded in real contribution and business constraints.

Read these indicators together

CTR
Share of impressions generating a click. Useful for diagnosing messaging; insufficient to judge profit.
CPA / CAC
CPA: media spend per defined action. Fully loaded CAC: acquisition costs in your scope divided by new customers. Always state the scope.
ROAS
Attributed revenue ÷ media spend. Compare it with your economic threshold and actual sales; do not add together revenue claimed by every platform.

Put it into practice

Your ad gets clicks, but useful outcomes remain low.

Which check should come before increasing spend?

See the reasoning

First verify destination and measurement success, then intent and inquiry quality. Next compare actual costs with the economic threshold using mature data. Increasing spend on a broken journey amplifies the problem.

Frequently asked questions

Which advertising channel should I choose first?

Choose the channel where your customer’s need meets your offer most clearly. Specific searches may suggest Search; visual demonstrations Meta or TikTok; professional offers LinkedIn. Validate this hypothesis with a limited, measurable test.

Can a campaign be profitable in its first test?

It is possible, but never guaranteed. The first test also checks messaging, destination, measurement and offer economics. Use a budget you can afford to lose and decide using sufficiently mature data.
