Google deploys a global antispam update: monitor your positions without reacting too fast

No official announcement of the last 24 hours is also useful today. This edition therefore remembers the antispam update launched by Google on September 24: its global deployment is still ongoing and can still change the visibility of the sites for several days.

Our method: distinguishing facts, citing sources and calmly explaining what can really change for creators, independent and digital professionals.

The September antispam update 2026 is underway in Google Search

Google launched the 24 september to september 09 h 15, Pacific time, an update of its spam detection systems. It applies globally, in all languages, and its deployment can last up to two weeks. The official dashboard classifies it as an incident affecting the classification and does not yet indicate its end. Google recalls that affected sites must first verify their compliance with its antispam rules; After correction, an improvement may take several months, as long as the systems reassess the site.

What it can change: Follow individual clicks, prints, positions and relevant pages in Search Console, but avoid massive changes in the middle of deployment. Priority should be given to automated or repetitive content, pages designed primarily to manipulate ranking and link practices. Document variations to compare the situation after deployment.
