OpenAI launches Dots, permanent agents able to continue working in the background
OpenAI is gradually deploying Dots, agents powered by GPT-6 Astra who have a cloud computer, keep the context of a project and can work via ChatGPT, Slack or Teams. They can connect to more than 4 000 applications, but access remains configurable and some actions require approval. The launch concerns Pro and Business Premium offers in eligible markets; Enterprise, Edu and Healthcare have a beta that can be activated by the administrator. OpenAI does not yet publish a detailed list of eligible countries and states that the function may not be immediately available on all accounts.
