The Arcom survey on MYM recalls why creators need to reduce their dependence on platforms

In the absence of more recent major official announcement in the last 24 hours, this edition retains the most useful and immediate official information of the last days. The investigation initiated by Arcom on MYM does not prejudge any breach, but it can lead to important changes in rules for creators who depend on a subscription platform.

Our method: distinguishing facts, citing sources and calmly explaining what can really change for creators, independent and digital professionals.

Arcom opens an investigation into MYM for possible breaches of the European Regulation

Following an initial assessment, Arcom suspects possible breaches by MYM of the Digital Services Act concerning, on the one hand, the protection of minors and age verification procedures and, on the other, the transparency of the terms of use and recommendation systems. The authority sent a request for information on 14 October 2026; MYM has fifteen days to respond or risk a penalty. This stage is specifically intended to determine whether the concerns are substantiated: no breach or penalty has therefore been established at this stage.

What it can change: If your activity depends on a subscription platform, keep an email list or other proprietary channel, archive your content and proof of rights and consent, and then monitor any changes to the rules without moving your activity in the rush.
