Meta revises its crawl rules while sponsors gain ground on long YouTube videos

In the absence of a major official announcement published in the last 24 hours, this edition retains two signals still immediate from the last four days. They directly concern professional creators: the crawl rights associated with Meta tools and the measured progression of sponsorships in long YouTube videos.

Our method: distinguishing facts, citing sources and calmly explaining what can really change for creators, independent and digital professionals.

Meta removes the reference to IA training but retains a crawl clause for professional use

Meta revised October 17 the terms and conditions for 30 October 2026. The sentence that explicitly authorized the use of content from associated domains and d An Automated Access and Crawl Authorization remains for sites related to professional user products or services. Meta asserts that these provisions concern its advertising and professional products, do not change its crawl practices and do not override the preferences expressed by owners via robots.txt. However, the applicable regional page must be checked before the entry into force.

What it can change: If you manage a Page, catalogue or advertisements, list the domains and URLs related to Meta, reread the regional version of the terms and conditions and check the robot.txt rules of your site with your technical provider.

Sponsorings appear in 6,2 % long YouTube videos analyzed by ThoughtLeaders

The October update of ThoughtLeaders states that 179 084 of the 2,9 millions of long and public live videos analyzed between the 15 september and 14 october contained a detected sponsorship, either 6,2 %against 4,8 % a year earlier. This measure describes the activity detected, not budgets and commercial efficiency. The Shorts represented 44 % content tracked but excluded from the detection of sponsorships; 46 % recent sponsored videos still had at least one unidentified brand, which requires careful reading of the rankings.

What it can change: Use this progression as a signal to structure a long format sponsorship offer, but negotiate based on your predictable views, repetition and documented results rather than just the number of subscribers.
