Meta grants three more weeks before its new trading conditions

Meta moved from 30 October to 20 November the entry into force of its new commercial and advertising conditions. This postponement is an important update to the file already reported: it provides additional time for creators and businesses, but it is not valid for withdrawal of disputed clauses or regulatory validation.

Our method: distinguishing facts, citing sources and calmly explaining what can really change for creators, independent and digital professionals.

Meta reports to 20 November its new commercial terms

The official Meta Commercial Terms page now indicates an entry into force on 20 November 2026, instead of the 30 October announced previously. The same report applies to the Self-Serve Ad Terms. Meta explained that it would like to have more time to clarify to partners what changes and clarify the operation of its exploration robots. The company claims that content owners can always express their preferences with robots.txt. However, the deferral does not mean that the clauses have been withdrawn or that robots.txt alone constitutes a contractual or legal guarantee. Criticism of publishers and advertisers in the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States remains ongoing.

What it can change: Use this suspension to inventory domains, pages, catalogues and content related to your Meta professional accounts. Check your robot.txt rules, keep a dated copy of the applicable terms and conditions and wait for the promised clarifications before irreversibly modifying your accounts or campaigns.
