How does an OFM business work?
A creator may delegate tasks to an agency for a contractual fee. The scope can vary widely: preparing a calendar, promotion, sales reporting or subscriber messaging. Ask for a list of services and an approval process rather than an advertised income figure.
For example, if someone offers to manage your creator business, clarify who publishes, who replies in your name, who accesses payments and who keeps the files. These answers affect your risk and independence even when two offers quote the same percentage.
Risks to review before delegating
An income promise does not replace documented results, a readable contract and clear exit terms. Check the fee calculation basis, content usage rights, account access, confidentiality and what happens to data when the engagement ends.
