A relationship that starts before the first email

A relationship that starts before the first email

  1. Promise

    Accurate help and frequency announced.

  2. Registration

Clear information and a suitable choice.

  3. Home

The promised resource and a next step.

  4. Relationship

Useful content, then a response or action.

The promised content, the applicable consent and the possibility of unsubscribe are part of the journey; they are not details to add after sending.

1

Write a promise you can keep

"Sign up for my newsletter" describes a channel, not a profit. "A photo method produces to test every Friday" helps a person decide. Indicates the subject, the frequency envisaged and the type of content. Avoid promising a daily resource if you have neither time nor matter.

Choose a different editorial line from a simple automatic summary of your networks. You can deepen a case, explain a decision, propose a practical sheet or answer a question. The newsletter must remain useful to someone who does not follow all your publications.

Prepare two or three editions before announcing a rhythm. This test shows if your promise produces enough ideas and if production is sustainable. If you sell a resource, clearly distinguish the editorial board and the commercial proposal, without hiding one in the other.

2

Collect addresses for an inclusive use

For commercial prospecting with individuals in France, prior consent is the general case; CNIL describes framed exceptions. A social subscription, a private message or the creation of an account is not automatically agreed to receive promotions.

Explains who sends, what will be sent and how to unsubscribe. Where consent is necessary, it must result from a positive and specific choice, not from a pre-checked box. B2B rules may differ if the message concerns the recipient's profession; Check the frame that fits your situation.

Keeps the information necessary to respect choices and oppositions, without collecting more than is useful. Does not matter if a list is purchased or addresses extracted from profiles, assuming that is enough. Each shipment must identify the issuer and simply refuse solicitations.

3

The first e-mail book before asking

Start by recalling why the person receives this message, and then give what has been promised. If it has registered for a checklist, the checklist link must be easy to find. Not a long presentation of your story before the expected content.

A simple structure works as a brief: a situation, an idea, an example and an action. The object faithfully announces the content. The pre-header completes it instead of repeating it. A main link facilitates the decision; Several resources remain possible if their hierarchy is clear.

You can prepare a three-step welcome sequence: deliver the resource, help use it, and then propose a suitable suite. The table below describes an editorial plan, not an automatic sending already enabled. You need to configure and check the possibilities of your tool before programming anything.

4

Test the course and read the statistics with caution

Send yourself a test and check the object, mobile rendering, links and unsubscribe. If you use a sending domain, have its authentication and configuration checked with your provider's instructions. A technical acceptance by the sending server does not prove an arrival in the main box.

The openings depend in particular on the loading or preloading of images. So they are not a perfect measure of reading. Clicks can also be influenced by security systems: bring them closer to the expected responses and actions rather than prove sales.

On a small list, a few people are enough to make a rate vary greatly. Observes several comparable editions and starts by improving one thing: the promise, object or destination after the click. A rate change alone does not prove that an object is better.

In VIFLY, the Community's public presentation explains subscriber lists and campaigns. Check the available channels, conditions and limits in your space. The host example of this guide does not promise a native automation or guaranteed delivreability.

Your next move

Prepare your first email

Fill in the four lines with your own case. Nothing is sent or saved: the content stays on this page and disappears when reloading. Copy your brief if you want to keep it.

Checklist

These boxes are used to reread your work, not to rate your level.

Check my work
Someone follows your account and sends a DM. Is this enough to automatically add to a commercial newsletter?

No. Check the applicable base and get the necessary agreement. Social interaction alone does not mean consent to email prospecting.

Frequently Asked Questions

What to put in a first newsletter?

Book the promised resource, briefly explain what the person will then receive and propose a simple action. A long presentation is not necessary.

Why doesn't an opening rate prove reading?

It depends on technical mechanisms related to the images and protections of email clients. Also observe the responses and actions, with caution on small volumes.

Does VIFLY automatically send the sequence of this guide?

The table is an educational example, not an enabled configuration. Consult the features and conditions of Community in your space before planning your campaigns.
